Returns & Refunds

Last updated: July 12, 2026 · Applies to dgcbazaar.com, app.dgcpos.com and dgcpos.com

Buyer return, refund, exchange, and cancellation rules for DGC Bazaar orders under Nepal consumer-protection expectations.

1. Scope

This policy applies to purchases on DGC Bazaar (dgcbazaar.com). Sellers fulfil most orders; the Operator provides the marketplace technology and grievance channels.

This policy is designed to support transparency expected under Nepal’s Electronic Commerce Act, 2081 and related consumer-protection rules. It is not a substitute for advice from Nepal counsel.

2. When you may return goods

Subject to unused / undamaged condition (except for defects), you may request a return or remedy when:

  • The goods materially differ from the listing description, photos, or stated specifications.
  • The goods are defective, damaged on arrival, or unsafe for normal use.
  • Wrong item or incomplete order was delivered.
  • The seller failed to deliver within the stated or agreed timeframe without a lawful force-majeure reason, and you cancel before accepting delivery.

3. How to start a return or refund

  1. Open Orders on DGC Bazaar, enter your order number and phone, and use “Report it to support” (this opens an email to support with your order number).
  2. Report the problem with photos and a short description within 7 days of delivery.
  3. If unresolved, email [email protected] or [email protected] with your order number, phone, and evidence.
  4. We aim to acknowledge grievances and help coordinate a response within 15 days (see Grievance Redressal).

COD cash refunds and online-payment refunds are processed according to the payment method used and the seller’s fulfilment status. Do not share OTP, passwords, or full card numbers.

4. Cancellation before dispatch

You may request cancellation before the seller marks the order as dispatched. After dispatch, cancellation depends on carrier status and seller policy; you may still refuse delivery for clear non-conformity and raise a grievance.

5. Non-returnable items

  • Perishable goods, opened hygiene/personal-care items (unless defective), and custom-made goods — except where defective or misdescribed.
  • Digital goods or services once fully delivered, unless misdescribed.
  • Items damaged by misuse after delivery.

6. Seller duties

Sellers must honour accurate listings, stated delivery times, and lawful return/refund remedies. Intermediary platforms remain responsible for operating an accessible complaint channel even when goods are sold by third-party shops.

7. Contact

Returns coordination: [email protected] · Trust & safety: [email protected]
